COMMUNITY PROJECTS
Enabling people to use their creative potential is extremely rewarding to all who participate. I have been very privileged to initiate arts projects. Here are a few of them.
Alton Day Services
Photography workshops with people with learning disabilities.
One of the many projects we did was an exhibition of photographs, along with backdrops of the photographs of parish churches within a six mile radius of Alton, shown at Winchester Cathedral.
Others include
Photographs exploring our many methods of movement and transport, both past and present.
Photographs of the town centre based on an old map of the town.
The Kingsley Organisation Photography Group
Over a ten year period the group produced, among other things, two books about the local area on the outskirts of Reading.
We were awarded funding from West Berks Council, the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Local Heritage Initiative and Nationwide.
Greatham Village 2009-2011
A book of photographs depicting village life over three years was created by a photography workshop I set up for local enthusiasts. Many thanks are due to Hope Church Greatham for financial help and Wendy French of Wilton Publishing Services whose help in preparation for publishing was invaluable.
