| David has worked in almost all publishing roles either full-time or as a freelancer. In 1980 he left full-time publishing to set up David Porter Text and Editorial (which is essentially David himself, plus a handful of specialists called upon as needed). Since then he has provided a range of publishing services from individual tasks to packaging entire books for publication. As can be seen from his CV, David's academic background is in librarianship, English literature and music, but his wide range of interests include media studies, popular culture, business issues, ethnic issues and much more. This background, together with skills in computing, graphic design and typesetting, means that he brings to publishing an unusually wide range of competences and understanding.
